Bologna hosts the second edition of Italian Knowledge Leaders - The Exchange

From July 2 - 4, 2024, leading Italian Convention Bureaux and a number of international scientific associations' representatives gathered in Palazzo Re Enzo, Bologna, for the second edition of Italian Knowledge Leaders - The Exchange. The event was organized by Convention Bureau Italia in partnership with ENIT and with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, CRUI and Bologna Convention Bureau.
The rich and varied program included panel discussions on hot topics in the industry and B2B networking sessions between associations and convention bureaux, designed to meet the needs of both parties and create lasting and profitable professional ties. The Roundtable, meanwhile, offered associations the chance to share their challenges and needs, while leading the search for the ideal location for their international conventions.
Guests also had the opportunity to visit the city's Congress Center, to explore Bologna through a city tour and a visit to the Clock Tower, and to socialize in casual contexts thanks to Tuesday evening's aperitivo at I Conoscenti and Wednesday's dinner at Palazzo Isolani.
One of the most anticipated moments was Thursday morning's session, "Let There Be Science: Congresses as Drivers of Impact and Growth in Emilia Romagna", which focused on the impact of scientific congresses on the territory. The segment offered a unique opportunity for discussion and insight, demonstrating how science can be a powerful motor for progress.
