MAST FOUNDATION

MAST Foundation is an international, cultural and philanthropic institution, based on Technology, Art and Innovation. Founded in Bologna in 2013, the Foundation aims to favor projects that leverage identity and creativity in order to develop new ideas and create new connections.
The founding members of the MAST Foundation are Coesia, a group of companies specialized in industrial solutions and packaging based on innovation, and Isabella Seràgnoli Foundation, a private and independent non-profit organization created with the aim of promoting and enhancing activities and projects aimed at the community in particular. in the health and socio-cultural fields. MAST Foundation is located next to the Coesia headquarters in a multifunctional complex with an area of ​​25,000 square meters intended for company employees, but also open to the community in a continuous experimentation of integration between business and community.
The corporate welfare services are intertwined with a program of cultural activities offered free of charge to the public of all ages in the spaces of MAST. MAST Foundation aspires to be an open place where every citizen has access to learning, the arts, photography of the world of work, in order to represent a cultural destination that stimulates and involves, combining growth and people's well-being.

The Innovation Gallery is a place that tells the story of work, inspired by the production activities of Coesia, in a path marked by technological exhibits and video art.
The Photo Galleries are exhibition spaces that host three exhibitions of photography of industry and work each year, with works from both the Foundation's collection and from museum or private loans.
In Auditorium, with state-of-the-art technology, and a capacity of 400 seats, cultural events, music, film reviews, and conventions promoted by the Foundation or external entities are held.

The Academy occupies an entire wing of MAST and consists of classrooms of different sizes, equipped with advanced equipment, dedicated to training and internal and external teaching, both technological and multidisciplinary with training activities and workshops oriented to the themes of technology, innovation, the photographic image, aimed at young people, the territory - schools, businesses, communities - and the collaborators of the Coesia group.
The Cafeteria offers a bar and catering service for the users of the Foundation's activities.
Among the welfare services for the company's collaborators: the MAST Nursery School, which has an agreement with the Municipality of Bologna, with pedagogical programs inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach - an educational philosophy known throughout the world; MAST Wellness dedicated to physical activity and well-being, with Technogym equipment; the Company Restaurant which, together with MAST Wellness, is part of a unitary project that integrates nutrition and physical activity and promotes a holistic model of health under the guidance of a Specialized Nutrition Science Center.

"MAST Foundation for Photography Grant on Industry and Work" is a biennial selection of young photographers aimed at documenting and supporting research activity on the image of industry, the transformation it induces in society and the territory, and the role of work in economic and productive development.

PHOTO / INDUSTRY
Since 2013 the MAST Foundation has been producing, organizing and promoting Foto / Industria, the only biennial in the world dedicated to Industry and Work Photography: exhibitions of great photographers and emerging talents from all over the world, set up at MAST and in historical places , public institutions and private spaces in the city, designed to give voice to the culture of the image on the world of work in its historical and contemporary dimension and to tell the extraordinary importance of “doing” and its ability to transform geographical and human communities.
The 2023 edition-12 exhibitions in 10 venues around the city and at MAST-is dedicated to the gaming industry in photography.

EVENTS
MAST Foundation hosts events related to photographic exhibitions (and more) organized during the year. The public participating in these events is heterogeneous - also in terms of personal data - and is mainly interested in the world of photography as a subscriber to the newsletter and a follower of the Foundation's social channels.
